On March 8th, Greg Wright, Principal in Masuda Funai’s Corporate, Finance & Acquisitions Group, chaired a panel discussion at the Spring 2018 Chicago Middle Market M&A Conference. The panel entitled “Capital Considerations and the Outlook for Private Equity” began with a discussion of the current state of the economy and capital markets, including the types of financing structures and terms which have become commonplace, as capital has become plentiful, and competition to “win” deals has picked up.
The second half of the program focused on the panelists’ views on the likely direction of the economy and capital markets over the upcoming 12 to 24 months. It concluded with a discussion of what changes to transaction structure and terms may be forthcoming, if and when economic conditions change. Greg was joined on the panel by Charlie Sheridan of Huron Capital, Marcus George of Onward Capital and Craig Payne of BlackRock.
The conference, which was sponsored by Transaction Advisors, provided private equity investors, middle market business owners, corporate executives, directors and investors with perspective and practical insights on strategies for structuring and executing corporate transactions.
