Bryan Funai advises U.S. and foreign companies on corporate structuring, business transactions, reorganizations and the establishment of subsidiaries, as well as regarding strategic development and business immigration. Bryan counsels clients on the establishment of corporations and limited liability companies, divestitures, consolidations and the sale of companies. He often represents clients in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, including, sales, confidentiality, purchase, acquisition, stock purchase, joint venture and license agreements. An experienced business immigration attorney, Bryan advises on the immigration ramifications of various corporate structures. He prepares business plans that comply with myriad immigration laws and advises on the immigration consequences of corporate reorganizations, worksite compliance and employment verification audits. His knowledge of all types of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas allows him to determine which is best suited to the needs of each client he serves. He also advises executives on their eligibility for permanent residency and the application process required to obtain this status.

In his third decade of practice, Bryan is appreciated for his extraordinary service, consistently practical advice and ability to provide value that goes far beyond the law. Bryan speaks Japanese and frequently travels to Japan to remain current with changes at the Consular Posts in Osaka and Tokyo. He has authored immigration articles for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Japan External Trade Organization, and has been a contributing author to The Visa Processing Guide and Consular Posts Handbook (AILA), The Global Business Immigration Practice Guide (Matthew Bender) and Inside the Minds: Employing International Workers (Thomson Reuters). Bryan is frequently invited to speak at legal education and business seminars on corporate immigration topics in the U.S., Japan, the United Kingdom and China.
