A courtroom advocate, Shane manages all stages of litigation from initial pleadings through settlement discussions, motion practice, and trial. He emphasizes rigorous organization and meticulous file management as keys to successful litigation, and he applies this approach to help clients navigate the courtroom experience with clarity and confidence. Since joining Masuda Funai, Shane has successfully litigated cases through summary judgment and trial and has negotiated numerous favorable settlements. His matters have included PAGA actions, construction defect cases, and other complex commercial disputes.

In addition to his litigation practice, Shane advises organizations on data privacy and cybersecurity compliance within the rapidly evolving U.S. privacy law landscape.

Before joining Masuda Funai, Shane was an attorney at a respected firm specializing in employment and medical malpractice litigation. During law school, he was a certified law clerk at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as an advocate at his law school’s immigration clinic where he processed visa applications for foster care children and victims of domestic violence.
