Shane Bekian is a commercial litigator focused on contract and employment disputes. He represents international and domestic clients in California litigation across a variety of industries.
A courtroom advocate, Shane manages all stages of litigation from initial pleadings through settlement discussions, motion practice, and trial. He emphasizes rigorous organization as key to successful litigation, and he applies this approach to help clients navigate the litigation experience with clarity and confidence. Since joining Masuda Funai, Shane has successfully litigated cases through summary judgment and trial and has negotiated numerous favorable settlements. His matters have included employment disputes, PAGA claims, construction claims, and other complex commercial disputes.
In addition to his litigation practice, Shane assists startup companies in launching operations and advises organizations on data privacy and cybersecurity compliance within the rapidly evolving U.S. privacy law landscape.
Before joining Masuda Funai, Shane was a civil defense litigator working primarily in employment and medical malpractice disputes. During law school, he was a certified law clerk at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as an advocate at his law school’s immigration clinic where he processed visa applications for foster care children and victims of domestic violence.
