On May 23, 2025, Masuda Funai hosted a legal seminar in Schaumburg that drew 57 attendees—surpassing the originally anticipated maximum of 50 participants. Conducted entirely in Japanese, the program was tailored for Japanese expatriates recently assigned to, or currently working at, U.S. subsidiaries.
Fumiko Tokuyoshi, Director of Global Client Services, served as moderator for the afternoon presentations. The seminar featured sessions led by attorneys Hirokazu Kishinami, Tadashi Tahara, and Daisuke Maki, along with guest speaker Takashi O’Haru, President of WHITE CUBE LLC, and client services representative Satoshi Murahata. Topics included immigration and employment law, corporate governance, commercial contracts, litigation, real estate trends, and everyday considerations for life in the U.S.
The event concluded with a networking hour where participants connected over beverages and refreshments.
